My Life Monday: Working Weekends

This is a question I’ve been asked in the past and one I’ve seen asked of other work at home parents. Often the answer is yes.

For me the answer is usually yes and no. I don’t often do any hard core work. I don’t spend hours at a time working. I don’t slave away at my computer. The weekends are largely reserved for my family.

Having said that I will often check my email a few times during the weekend, maybe write up a blog post, or check on my work at home jobs forum. Tasks that don’t take a long time to get done, but yet still feed my need to busy my mind with work when the kids are sleeping.

What about you? Do you work on the weekends?

    Whether I work during the weekends depends on what I have going on at the time. If I’ve received a job at the end of the week, I might work more during that weekend. If I have something that has a deadline that’s further out, I will let it slide until the new week starts.

    I prefer to spend the weekends with my family, but will take the time out if it is necessary.

    I’ll work on the weekends if need be. Like you, I tend to check emails, make blog posts and similar tasks, but nothing major if I can help it. If I let myself, I could easily work 10-12 hours per day, 7 days a week. I really have to make myself leave my work for the weekends or I’m afraid I’d never see my family! LOL…
