Kathleen started working from home, initially, from 2002-2004, due to some medical issues she was facing in her life at that time. She then decided to look for telecommuting jobs that she could do on a more permanent basis in 2005. She’s been working from home ever since.
She made her decision to find telecommuting work after she had her daughter. She started out working and putting her child in daycare, but she found that it was too hard to leave her there. She wanted to spend more time with her family and less time with work.
It took her about 2 years to find a legitimate company to work for from home. She says that luckily she never fell for any of the internet scams that are prevalent throughout the online world; but she admits that it’s mostly because she didn’t have the extra money to spare to pay for those types of jobs.
Kathleen utilized many work from home websites to gain enough knowledge and acquire leads to find the telecommuting jobs that she landed. She owes a lot to those informational telecommuting websites as she says she wouldn’t have found anything without them being available to her.
