Crissy Gipson Success Story
February 13, 2008
Crissy started her telecommuting job search in 2003, because the job market in her field was scarce in the area that she lived in. She looked to the internet to find jobs that she could do to help bring in income while she stayed at home.
Due to her internet researching ability, she found loads of information online that helped point her in the right direction to locate a job in her field. She was able to find telecommuting jobs, that she had the right qualifications for, quite quickly. The internet provided her with the information needed to land those jobs.
Crissy relied pretty heavily on various website message boards and word of mouth to find her telecommuting jobs. She wasn’t afraid to ask many questions of the members of the message board communities that she visited. Crissy utilized these communities to research companies and figure out if some jobs were scams.
She states that the best message board communities to check out are “established message boards with members who have been working from home for a while.” Crissy says her reasoning for this is “There are a lot of other new people out there and if you fall into a message board that is full of new people, you can get misinformation.”
